Public Health Care
Public health in the full-time form of study is single-discipline, organizationally divided into the first level of full-time higher education studies (6 semesters) - Bachelor (Bc.) and the second level of higher education studies (4 semesters) - Master (Mgr.) and the third level of higher education studies (6 semesters) - Doctoral (PhD.).
The curriculum is based on the vision of the development of public health as defined by international institutions (EU, World Health Organization, European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, ASPHER), it is designed to be in line with the Lisbon process.
The curriculum is a set of courses consisting of educational activities, which are mainly lectures, seminars, exercises, final thesis, project work, internship, excursion, professional practice, state examination. The study plan is composed of compulsory, compulsory elective and elective courses so that the minimum number of credits obtained by fulfilling the specified conditions is in accordance with the Study Regulations of the Faculty of Health and Social Work of the University of Trnava.
In the bachelor's degree of full-time study, a compulsory part of the teaching is also the completion of professional practice of 240 hours in primary health care prevention facilities, public health offices, organizations providing occupational health services.
Prospects of graduates
A public health graduate should enter practice as a confident advocate for the independence of his or her profession and for modern trends in public health theory and practice. The graduate will find employment in the following organisations:
* all departments of regional public health authorities (RÚVZ),
ü in establishments outside the health department in the field of health, environmental and occupational health,
ü in the field of public health,
ü in the field of public health,
* research institutes with a focus on: non-communicable communicable diseases, environment and health, communicable diseases, occupational environment and health,
* research institutes with a focus on: non-communicable diseases, environment and health, communicable diseases, occupational environment and health,
* research institutes with a focus on
* health clinics,
* labour inspectorates,
* government departments (health, environment),
* local government: in issues of protection and promotion of human health, environmental impacts on
health, preventive programs.

2. Maturita from Slovak language. Candidates who do not meet this condition will take a test in Slovak language to check their communication skills in Slovak language at B1 level, or Czech language

Electronic application form must be accompanied by a hard copy application form with signature.
If an applicant fails to complete the required parts of the application form within the stipulated time limit after being asked to complete the missing parts of the application form, he/she shall be disqualified from the admission process. The admission fee will not be refunded.
Conditions for international students
An applicant who has completed his/her secondary education abroad shall submit nostrified educational documents.
1. Age 18 years.

3. Graduation in Slovak language. Candidates who do not meet this condition will take a test in Slovak language to check their communication skills in Slovak language at B1 level, or Czech language

Admission of applicants
for the first level of higher education - without entrance examinations according to the results of the secondary school on the basis of a selection procedure.
Admission assessment methodology for:
- Total average from secondary school maximum score 100 points
- Average in profiling subjects (biology, physics, chemistry) For each profiling subject, possible grades will be scored:1.....3 points, 2.....2 points, 3.....1 points. (maximum 36 points)
- For each non-specific activity, the candidate will receive 2 points.
a) SIC
b) Certificate in a foreign language
c) Other activity - sports
d) Other activity - cultural
Condition for admission to Bc. studies is a matriculation diploma in Slovak language. Applicants who do not meet this condition will take a test in Slovak language to test their communication skills in Slovak language at B1 level.
The applicant must be medically fit.
