Translation Studies

A graduate of the translatology programme is able to demonstrate systematic knowledge anchored in a broader interdisciplinary area (linguistics, sociology, philosophy, anthropology, psychology, literary science, etc.). He or she can organise research professionally, design, implement and modify a larger research process, coordinate a research team productively and socially cultivate scientific research in a defined field as a professionally competent and methodologically sound specialist with a substantial interdisciplinary background. He is able to communicate the conclusions and findings of his work to his collaborators and the wider scientific community on an international platform. He is able to contribute his research to the expansion of the frontiers of knowledge and to the social and cultural progress of the knowledge society. Graduates of this study programme are able to find employment as university teachers, linguists, translators, interpreters, and creative workers in publishing houses.
