The following will be given the exceptional opportunity for certainty of early admission:

a) An applicant whose average (1st-3rd year of secondary school) does not exceed 1.70 in grammar school and 1.40 in other secondary schools (without multiplying by the coefficient for the secondary school). This applicant will be admitted after the application has been sent and processed, which the faculty will notify him/her no later than when he/she has been admitted after the application has been sent and processed, which the faculty will notify him/her no later than by April 18. This applicant will be enrolled in the course of study only after submitting his/her school-leaving certificate. The special option does not apply to study programmes with a talent test (combined music and art teaching).

b) Candidate of a non-teaching study programme in geography and applied geoinformatics who has placed 1st or 2nd in the regional round of the Geography Olympiad.

c) A non-teacher candidate in the Biology, Ecology, Geography and Applied Geoinformatics study programme who achieves a General Studies Prerequisites test score above the 50th percentile in a given calendar year. The test can be taken as part of the National Benchmarking Examinations (NBA; Scio), which take place on six dates between December and May in several cities in Slovakia (including Prešov). Testing dates, sample tests and conditions for applying for testing are published at www.scio.sk/nps. The faculty takes into account the results of both the Slovak version of the test (VŠP) and the Czech version (OSP). The applicant does not submit his/her result to the faculty. Candidates' results are given to the faculty exclusively by Scio. However, each candidate must provide Scio with his/her consent to hand over his/her results (he/she does so as part of the application for the VŠP exam).

• An applicant may submit only one application for full-time study and one application for part-time study.
• The application form includes: resume, certified secondary school leaving certificates for Years 1 - 4 and a matriculation certificate (this does not apply to applicants who are graduating in the 2021/2022 school year; these applicants will have their academic results for Years 1 - 3 at the secondary school they are attending confirmed).
• The application form must be submitted by the applicant to the school of the applicant's choice.
• Without sending the matriculation certificate and the certificate from the 4th year of secondary school, the admission procedure cannot be evaluated, therefore applicants are reminded to send certified copies of the documents immediately after the matriculation examination, at the latest by 10 June, otherwise they will not be included in the admission procedure.
• Applicants for the Music Teaching course shall indicate on the application form the musical instrument on which they will play at the talent entrance examination.

All Bachelor's degree programmes will admit applicants who have completed their secondary education with a high school diploma without an entrance examination (except for music and fine arts teaching) on the basis of the results obtained during secondary education (average of the end-of-year report cards and the high school diploma). If the number of applicants exceeds the faculty's capacity, preference will be given to applicants with a better grade point average. In determining the order of admission, the resulting average will be multiplied by the coefficient for the secondary school: grammar school 0.6 and other secondary schools 0.8.
