Strategy and Entrepreneurship
The Master's degree links the topics of entrepreneurial thinking, finding and valuing business opportunities with a more comprehensive strategic framework. The study set up in this way promotes the employability of graduates in various innovation and development-oriented professions in domestic and foreign companies and institutions. Our intention is also to promote generational succession in entrepreneurial families by graduates who will be prepared to manage family businesses in this dynamic and internationally open environment.
In the Master's program, students will acquire a comprehensive knowledge of strategic organizational management, entrepreneurship and other areas of management, and will be able to navigate the international environment.
Prospects of graduates
Based on the acquired knowledge and practical experience, our graduates will be able to analyse the external and internal environment and trends within them, identify business opportunities and design strategies for their development within new and existing businesses, in domestic and foreign institutions, further implement them, as well as measure their impact on the environment, in terms of economic, environmental and social sustainability, as well as ethical responsibility.
These skills, essential for the performance of senior managerial, entrepreneurial and professional functions in organizations of different sizes and types, will be acquired through the practical application of the acquired theoretical knowledge, developing communication and analytical skills, as well as in the process of linking theoretical and methodological teaching with practical problem-solving assignments from specific start-up as well as established national and international companies.
Our students and graduates acquire during their studies the ability to formulate, present and defend their own ideas in front of practitioners (also in English). At the same time, they are able to apply some of the advanced research techniques in strategy, business and management in a way that enables them to acquire new information.

The admission criteria for applicants to the Faculty of Management of Comenius University in Bratislava are drawn up in accordance with Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Higher Education as amended and the rules of the admission procedure at the Charles University in Bratislava.

The basic condition for admission of an applicant to study a second degree study programme of a university, which follows from the provisions of Section 56(2) of the Higher Education Act, is the completion of a first degree study programme (completed bachelor's degree or a comprehensive master's or engineering degree). An applicant who fails to prove fulfilment of the basic conditions for admission to the study at the time of verification of fulfilment of the conditions for admission may be admitted to the study conditionally, provided that he or she is obliged to prove fulfilment of the basic conditions for admission to the study no later than on the date set for enrolment in the study. The right of an applicant who has been admitted conditionally to the study shall be terminated if he or she fails to prove fulfilment of the basic conditions for admission no later than the date set for enrolment.

Additional information
Each applicant may submit only one application for full-time Master's studies in Slovak language, in which he/she indicates which study programmes he/she is interested in, in the order of their importance. Applicants must fulfil the admission requirements specified for the study programme. Applicants who indicate two study programmes on their application form must fulfil the conditions for both study programmes for which they have applied. These results will be recalculated according to the admission criteria for that programme of study. If an applicant fulfils the admission requirements for both programmes of study, he or she will be admitted to the programme of study that was ranked 1st on the application form.
Conditions for international students
The condition for admission of foreigners (including compatriots) to study is to prove the necessary competence in the same way as in the case of citizens of the Slovak Republic, which follows from the provisions of Section 56 (2) of the Higher Education Act, namely the completion of the first degree study programme - by a document of recognition of education under Act No. 422/2015 Coll. on the recognition of documents on education and on the recognition of professional qualifications and on the amendment and supplementation of certain acts, as amended by Act No. 276/2017 Coll. and Act No. 359/2019 Coll. and Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on higher education and on the amendment and supplementation of certain acts, as amended.

Conditions of admission without the entrance exam
1) Graduates of full-time bachelor studies at the Faculty of Management of Comenius University in Bratislava and graduates of interdisciplinary study programmes provided in cooperation with the Faculty of Management of Comenius University in Bratislava.
2) Graduates with a study average for bachelor (or comprehensive university - Mgr., Ing.) studies up to 1.3; for students from the fields of study Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or Cybernetics, who had an average of up to 2.0 during their previous studies at the university in the fields of economics and management.
Coordinator for students with specific needs
An applicant with specific needs who requires reasonable adjustments and support services for the entrance examination shall send, together with the application for studies, a request for adaptation of the form of the entrance examination specifying the required adjustments and support services, accompanied by the relevant professional documentation. The consent of the person concerned to the processing of the personal data contained in the application form shall form an integral part of the application form of the applicant with special needs.
Graduates of bachelor (or comprehensive university - Mgr., Ing.) studies who do not meet the admission requirements without entrance examinations and have applied for the study programme Strategy and Entrepreneurship in the field of Economics and Management will pass the entrance examination.
Form of entrance exam
Oral exam in Slovak and English before the committee (interview on professional topics of economics, finance, management, business and marketing, while the committee also takes into account the submitted documents in the CV and cover letter).
Oral examinations will be conducted by videoconference call before the Board (which is considered as the subject of the entrance examination) on dates announced after the closing date for applications.
