Conditions of admission

The basic condition for admission (Section 56 of the Higher Education Act) to study a second-degree study programme is completion of a first-degree study programme in the same or a related field of study. The decisive criterion for the selection of students for the second cycle of studies will be the results of the first cycle of studies and the results of the state bachelor's examination. The evaluation criteria for the eligibility of applicants for admission are supplemented in accordance with Section 57(1) of Act No 131/2002 Coll. 1. social aspects (orphans, half-orphans) 2. physically handicapped applicants 3. interest of foreign Slovaks 4. regional aspects (acceptance of economically lagging and structurally weak regions in the appeal procedure)

Conditions for international students

Foreign applicants are admitted under the same conditions as citizens of the Slovak Republic.

General information on the admission exam

• To submit an application form:
• Curriculum vitae (original signed by the applicant),
• certified copy of the Bachelor's degree and the certificate of the 1st level state examination (only applicants from other universities),
• original transcript of the examinations passed, with the full academic average, certified by the study department of the university concerned (only applicants from other universities),
• medical certificate of medical fitness for university studies,
• proof of payment of the fee for material support for the admission procedure
• in the event that the numbers above the established normative are filled for the respective study programme selected by the students, the applicants shall be transferred to the study programme where the normative numbers have not been filled.

The amount of the fee for material support of the admission procedure (hereinafter referred to as FEE) for the study programme of the second cycle of study at FEM for the academic year 2022/2023 is:

- when applying electronically - 40 € - the FEE will be paid in cash according to the instructions provided in the electronic application form.

You pay the FEE via internet banking, or bank transfer, definitely NOT by postal order, not even by U-type
