Social Work
Study in Social Work prepares university-educated, independent workers capable of providing, coordinating and directly implementing social work, which includes the provision of social care and assistance to all groups of the population dependent on any of the types and forms of social work and social services.
The curricula for both degrees are designed to provide an opportunity for the acquisition of the theoretical knowledge necessary for the practice of social work and also for the training and development of practical skills, particularly through professional practice and supervision. Emphasis is placed on the student's independent and creative work, the development of their critical thinking and the promotion of their professional development.
Social work is a multidisciplinary field of scientific knowledge that deals with the scientific understanding of social problems - their origins, causes, possible solutions, the question of the responsibility of the citizen and the state, the optimal level and forms of assistance for the individual, group or community.
