Conditions of admission

Conditions of admission to study for the study programme: PSYCHOLOGY

• graduation from the same study programme of the first (Bachelor's degree programme) or second degree (Master's degree programme);
• commitment to respect the Catholic spirit of the university and the faculty;
• successful completion of the entrance examination, which consists of:

completion of a oral interview aimed at verifying knowledge within the scope of the single-subject Bachelor's degree in psychology and at ascertaining personal and motivational prerequisites for the study of psychology (maximum score 30, minimum score 15).

The final ranking of applicants is based on the results of the entrance examination.

Additional information

Health disadvantaged applicants may request that the form and method of the entrance examination be determined taking into account their disadvantage (a written request is sent together with the application form).

General information on the admission exam

The application must be accompanied by:

a) certified copies of documents of graduation (bachelor's diploma, diploma supplement and state examination certificate), if it concerns applicants who did not complete the bachelor's study programme at the Faculty of Arts KU in Ružomberok,

b) in the case of applicants who have obtained their higher education abroad (outside the Czech Republic), it is necessary to submit a decision on the recognition of the foreign document of education no later than on the day of enrolment,

c) confirmation of payment of the fee, in the case of a traditional paper application, to be pasted on the 3rd page of the application form, in the case of an electronic application, to be sent as an electronic attachment. Without proof of payment, the application will not be registered.

Admission Material Fee:

- €25 in case of using the electronic application form on the website http://ff.ku.sk;

- €30 in case of using the traditional college application form (SEVT).

Student applicants can also submit only electronic application form without the need to print it, sign it and send it to the postal address of the faculty.

Acknowledgement of the application form and information about the further process in the admission procedure will be sent to applicants by electronic or conventional mail.

Deadline for verification of fulfilment of admission requirements: no later than 30 June 2022

A written decision on the result of the admission procedure will be sent to applicants no later than 30 days after the verification of the fulfilment of the conditions of admission to the study. The written decision shall be delivered to the applicants by hand.
