Absolvent is applied as:

- pedagogical employee in kindergartens, school clubs and leisure centres: kindergarten teacher, pedagogical assistant, educator in school clubs and leisure centres,

- a graduate with a state exam in English can teach English in kindergarten.

Conditions of admission
  • completion of secondary school studies culminating in the matriculation examination,
  • delivery of a printed and signed application form submitted electronically,
  • certification of medical eligibility for university studies (the form is on the faculty's website in the section Applicants - study options).


Additional information

If an applicant wishes to apply for more than one study programme at the faculty, he/she must submit a separate application for each study programme separately and pay the application fee for each application. An applicant cannot apply for both full-time and part-time study for the same study programme at the same time.



Conditions for international students

The condition of admission is the presentation of proof of secondary education with a high school diploma. The documents must be officially translated and certified and submitted to the Faculty's Education Department by the deadline. For foreign applicants, the admission conditions also apply. Applicants are recommended to take a preparatory course in Slovak language. Self-payers are admitted on the basis of a contract. General information on the admission exam
  • The fee for the admission procedure can be paid only electronically - by bank transfer on the basis of a payment order, which will be issued by the Education Department. In the message to the recipient, please indicate: name and surname of the applicant, name of the faculty. The proof of payment must be signed and attached to the printed application form,
  • An applicant who will take the matriculation examination in the year 2023 shall fill in the application form with the end-of-year grades for years 1-3 (four-year secondary school studies), for years 1-4 (five-year secondary school studies) of secondary school - the grades will be confirmed by the secondary school. A certified copy of the matriculation certificate will be sent to the faculty address immediately after it is issued, no later than the date of enrolment, which will take place in June 2023.
  • an applicant who has passed the matriculation examination in the previous period shall deliver, together with the application for studies, certified copies of the report cards for the 1st-3rd year (four-year secondary school studies), for the 1st-4th year (five-year secondary school studies) of the secondary school and a certified copy of the matriculation certificate,
  • the applicant sends a handwritten and signed curriculum vitae,
  • applicant with specific needs pursuant to §100 of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on higher education and on amendment and supplementation of later regulations, he/she shall document the specific needs in the application form with the relevant application and confirmation. The application is published on the faculty's website in the section Applicants - study options,
  • Incomplete applications will not be accepted and will be returned to the applicant.

After the completion of the 1st degree (Bc.) it is possible to continue in the 2nd degree (Mgr.) in all study programmes.



Form of entrance exam

The criterion for determining the order of applicants for admission to all bachelor programmes in full-time and part-time form will be the results of studies from secondary school, the average of grades on the end-of-year report cards for the 1st to 3rd year (four-year secondary school studies), for the 1st to 4th year (five-year secondary school studies):

The final ranking of applicants is determined by the total number of points that the applicant receives based on his/her secondary school results (grade point average on end-of-year report cards). If the number of applicants exceeds the faculty's capacity, priority will be given to applicants with a better average. The results of the admission procedure will be published in the MAIS https://mais.unipo.sk/eprihlaska/pages/odosielatel/rozhranie_odosielatela.mais after the admission procedure, i.e. the admission committee meeting, has been completed. The written decision on the result of the admission procedure will be delivered by hand within the statutory deadline.
