Building Structures and Architecture
Bachelor studies are organised at the Faculty of Civil Enginineering of STU of the Slovak University of Technology in series. Each field has its individual study plan. Study plans include such set of obligatory subjects that allow graduates of the Bachelor study programs to find work in some of professions within the civil Enginineering sector that require lower degree of university qualification. Graduating from such 1st degree education is however mainly a good foundation for follow-up studying of the second-degree Enginineering study enabling graduates to achieve complete university education and become highly qualified professionals in their field.

The basic condition of admission is the successful passing of the secondary school leaving exam. Graduates with the secondary school leaving exam of A level (from the subject of mathematics or physics) will not take the entrance exam. Applicants who have taken the secondary school leaving exam of B level will be admitted without taking the entrance exam up to the set weighted study average in secondary school, other applicants will undergo entrance exam.
Payment of the manipulation fee of SKK 500.
Conditions for international students
Conditions of admission for foreign students are the same as for citizens of the Slovak Republic, with the exception of self-payers for whom the entrance exam has the form of admission colloquium. Tuition for self-payers is set by a guideline of the rector for the given academic year. More information can be found on the faculty website and at the study department.

A list of applicants is made based on the results of secondary school studies and results of the entrance exams.
Applicants placed on the list up to the place corresponding with the guiding number of the given study programs will be accepted.
Applicants who will be placed after this place will be offered another study program (provided that the guiding number of some of the study program will not be fulfilled).
The list of admitted applicants is published on the website of the faculty.
We recommend to indicate on the application form at least one alternative study programme apart from the chosen study programme that the applicant will accept in case of unsuccessful admission procedure for the selected study programme.
Following receiving of the application, the faculty will confirm the receipt and will sent applicants information about the application procedure.
