Building Structures and Architecture

Acquisition of professional education in the field of design and implementation of civil engineering structures necessary for the exercise of the profession or for advancement to the engineering degree of study.

Graduates of the study programme will acquire complete first-degree university education in the field of building structures focusing on the preparation and realisation of architectural constructions. They get a theoretical basis of exact and natural sciences, as well as human and economic disciplines of science. This general scope follows up on Enginineering science creating basis for foundations of applied science disciplines of architecture, designing and realising building structures, Enginineering and environmental constructions.

An important part of instruction is the development of creativity and skill, using of computer technology, learning the basics of world language and developing physical ability.

Graduates will be prepared to study study programmes of second degree in the study field of building structures, as well as of architecture and urban design, or in the field of structural and transportal Enginineering or to enter the labour market immediately.

They will be able to work as members of creative teams, as independent workers in the area of investment activity, management of architectural investment projects, construction supplier organisations and systems of buildings as well as in the area of environmental protection of construction, in state administration and regional development, in the education system, in management of operation and maintenance of buildings etc.
