Birth assistance
A graduate of the study programme is able to fulfil the requirements of the discipline integrating nursing theories and scientific knowledge. A graduate has got theoretical and practical abilities in order to choose an adequate nursing conceptual model and to use the method of nursing process. He/she is able to manage and provide preventive, supportive and therapeutic care, rehabilitation for women, during pregnancy and the birth and in the postnatal period, he/she masters the basics of scientific work and methods of acquiring scientific and specialized information and basics of work in multi-media environment.
According to the valid legislation, automatic recognition of diploma in the EU countries is guaranteed to the graduates of Midwifery study programme.

The basic condition for admission is the completion of upper-secondary education or upper-secondary vocational education. The other condition is to be placed on a list of applicants ranked in ascending order of the average of the marks obtained in the final three years of secondary school in the order of the maximum number of applicants planned for the programme of study concerned.
- the faculty requires electronic registration of the application form according to the instructions published on the faculty's website www.jfmed.uniba.sk,
- knowledge of the secondary school curriculum is required,
- the faculty will send detailed information about the admission procedure in March 2023,
- attach to the application form certified end-of-year certificates for the last three years of study,
- if an applicant is applying for more than one bachelor's degree programme, he/she shall indicate them on one application form and make one payment; if he/she is applying for more than one degree programme at different stages of study, he/she shall send separately for each degree programme the application form, payment and attend the entrance examination for each degree programme.
