Nuclear and Physical Engineering
Programme graduates in Nuclear and Physical Engineering gain not only a good knowledge of mathematics, physics, economics and management, but also theoretical and methodological knowledge of the core of informatics, the knowledge of and practical skills in computer architecture, operating systems, logic systems, algorithms and programming respectively. They are familiar with measurement, data capture, processing and transmission of information, and diagnostic of systems included to the programme. They possess the knowledge of information and communication networks; they understand methods of modelling and simulation of systems and processes. This is the base precondition for next studies focused on nuclear power engineering as well as on material science master courses.
Prospects of graduates
Graduates are capable of analysing and understanding the processes happening in low voltage and high voltage electrical engineering, power engineering and nuclear technology. But they can also obtain specific professional knowledge suitable for the area of physical research of new progressive materials, structures and systems, including the basics of computer simulations of their properties, nuclear power engineering, physics methods, electrotechnology, as well as measurements and diagnostics based on computer based experiments.
