Mathematical and Computational Modeling
The graduate obtains a full second-level university degree in applied mathematics with an orientation towards mathematical modelling, computer analysis and simulation of engineering problems in interdisciplinary applications. He/she masters modern methods of applied mathematics (numerical, statistical, optimization, graphical and visualization methods and software), understands their efficient software implementation on modern (parallel) computer architectures and can apply these methods in engineering practice. The graduate will find employment primarily in interdisciplinary teams in companies and research institutes oriented to the development of modern technologies, software development in the field of scientific and technical computing, numerical and statistical methods, visualization, computer graphics, image processing and data analysis.

Graduates will find employment primarily in interdisciplinary teams in companies and research institutes oriented to the development of modern technologies, in companies engaged in software development in the field of scientific and technical computing, data analysis, visualization, computer graphics, image processing and in workplaces dealing with mathematical analysis and simulation of engineering processes.
