Economics and Management of Agriculture and Food
Content of study builds on current and anticipated trends in global and domestic economic science, which can be incorporated into the requirements for education doctoral students in issues such are the integration and globalization in food procesy verticals and their implications for economic and social status of the enterprises, the macro and micro patterns and determinants of business, measurement of business performance and competitiveness, enterprise transformation process of transformation and restructuring of the economy, agro adaptation to market conditions EU structures, corporate culture and management of the enterprise, the impact of agricultural policies on competitiveness and business performance, strategic management, marketing management, analytical and Controlling business activity, globalization of markets, production factors, goods and services and their impact on the economic viability of the firm, office charater agricultural production, rural and regional development, anticipated changes in the capacity of the business base.
Prospects of graduates
Graduate entry professional orientation and the capacity to perform occupations requiring the application of scientific methods of research and prediction of economics and business management. Graduate mastered scientific methods of research, interpretation and creative solutions to economic problems of the agriculture and food, with a focus on economic and financial analysis in sectors, sectoral strategies, the basic functions / expressions of functioning (the specific management) organizational forms of operators in the agri-food sector.

Basic requirement for admission is completion of second level study program in the same or related fields, the completeness of the application and the personal involvement of the candidate for entrance examination.
Entrance exams in the examination committee takes into account the expertise of the candidate objects Economics and Management, the conditions for independent research work and ability to contribute to the development of the chosen field of study and activities in the scientific activities during his studies in earlier stages of study.
Entrance examination candidate demonstrates knowledge of the language of one world language of their choice.
For a doctoral program in external form are preferably chosen candidates with experience in scientific activities.
Doctoral candidates who have received training state language test, professional examinations completed abroad in the range of 1 semester, respectively. hold a certificate of Cambridge International Certificate Angličtina business - for the English language, or certificate of the Goethe Institut "Wirtschaftssdeutsch" - the German language, the written test will be accepted.
The entrance examination in foreign languages will be done by written test and a form of communication in a world language to the selected part of the project presented.
Evaluation criteria for eligibility of applicants for admission are supplemented by other aspects - social aspects, physically handicapped, the interest of foreign Slovaks, the regional aspect, candidates with disabilities on the application shall form the entrance examination and method of its implementation.
