The basic acceptance condition to doctoral SP Branch Economics and Management is the academic degree in the second grade of university study.
Another condition for the admission to the PhD. SP Branch Economics and Management is the successful passing of the entrance examination and payment of the fee for the provision of the admission procedure.
1.1. The application forms are delivered in the time determined for the submission of the application forms in the sense of approved period for the admission.
2.2. The application form needs to be submitted in the electronic form without secured signature using the academic information system of the SUT (hereinafter just ‘AIS’) to 31.5.2021.
The applicant for the study can also deliver the application form in paper outside of AIS in the application form required by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic. to the address: Slovenská technická univerzita, Ústav manažmentu, study department, Vazovova 5, 812 43 Bratislava
Sending the application form (electronically or by post) together with required annexes stated in point 2.3 is an inevitable condition for a successful submission of the application form for the study at the SUT.
The applicants who applied for the dissertation theses published by IM SUT can take part in the entrance examination for the study in the full-time and external form of the study in the doctoral SP Spatial Planning and Branch Economics and Management. There is a supervisor for each of the published themes. The applicant for doctoral SP will submit one application form for one of the published theses
Doplňujúce informácie
2.2. Obligatory documents to the application form:
a) Curriculum vitae
b) Proof of payment of the fee for material management of the admission (a receipt of the postal order, bank receipt about money transfer or the account statement, from which the fee was paid, the readable name and surname of the applicant forwhom the fee was paid has to be clear), adds just an applicant who did not pay the fee for material management of the admission with the payment card in the application of the electronic application form in the AIS
c) the applicant-signed motivation letter,
d) framework project related to the topic of the dissertation work
e) copy of university diploma
f) copy of the annexe to university diploma or copy of the list of completed subjects and exams
(Admitted applicant are obliged to submit the verified copy of the document of achieved education on the day determined for the enrolment at the latest. In the graduates from the SUT the verified copy of documents stated in the letter e, f, is not the condition, the verification is valid just for the applicants out of the SUT
The applicants with any specific needs will submit together with the application form also the application formexplaining their specific needs. They will submit the range of supportive services they need for the entrance examination, according to the guideline of the rector No 5/2013-SR, which is published on the website of the SUT: https://www.stuba.sk/sk/studentov/studenti-a-uchadzaci-so-specifickymi-potrebami.html?page_id=6717 because of creation of adequate conditions for their entrance examination. The applicants with the specific needs based on the assessment of their specific needs will be provided the form of the entrance examination and its realization will be performed regarding their specific needs.
Podmienky pre zahraničných študentov
a) Applicants who completed the education necessary for the fulfilment of the essential condition of the acceptance for the study abroad attach the certified copies of the documents about the completion of the previous university study together with their translation into the Slovak language together with the decision about the recognition of the documents on completed studies issued by the Ministry of Education, Science and Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic under the & 33 or issued by the Ministry of Education, Science and Research and sport following & 39 of the Act No. 422/2015 Coll. on the Recognition of the documents about the education and recognition of professional qualifications and the changes as amended. The provisions of this letter do not apply to applicants who completed university education at a university in the Czech Republic and who provide attachments to the application according to letters e) to f) of this point.

The entrance examination is done in Slovak and English language. In the entrance proceeding for the study programmes, which will be done in English, the entrance examination is done just in English.

Framework content of the entrance test
- Theoretical and professional debate on the chosen dissertation thesis,
- Assessment of the English language skills of an applicant (in the frame of theoretical and professional debate on the chosen thesis of the dissertation work).
- 1. The way of verification of fulfilment of the conditions for acceptance and assessment of the results of the entrance examination
The entrance examination is done in front of the examination committee appointed by the rector of the SUT that at the non-public session evaluates the fulfilment of the following criteria of the entrance test:
- Theoretical and professional abilities and predispositions for scientific work and the overall professional level, which he/she showed at the interview about the chosen theme of dissertation work – 0-30 b,
- The degree of English language skills – 0-20 b,
- the extent and quality of publication activity - (e.g. publishing in the journal, participation in an international event, contribution to a collection of works and others) – 0-20 b,
- the results in student scientific and professional work competitions – 0-15 b,
- The participation in the international student’s mobility (ERASMUS+, ERASMUS+ International Credit Mobility, CEEPUS, The action Austria - Slovakia, National grant programme of the Slovak Republic and others), participation in students’ workshops, summer school – 0-15 points.
Based on the results of the entrance examination, (the number of acquired points) the applicants who obtained at least 60 points can be accepted for the study.
