Graduate profile focuses on deepening and expanding the basic and specialized theoretical preparation for the design, construction and operation of load-bearing structures of civil engineering and building construction from concrete, steel, wood and other building materials, transport structures and solving geotechnical problems. Emphasis is placed on the graduate acquiring the necessary knowledge for the theoretical analysis of civil engineering and building construction, enabling him to design safe, user-friendly, durable and aesthetic structures using computer technology as widely as possible. An important part of the comprehensive preparation is the development of independence and creativity so that after a graduate the appropriate experience can lead a team of workers, know how to lead large projects independently and be able to take responsibility for their complex technical solutions. Experimental and diagnostic work as well as methods and procedures of data evaluation are an integral part of the graduate profile.
Uplatnenie absolventov
Graduates of the study program of load-bearing structures and traffic structures will find employment in many professions of engineering and civil engineering. As a constructor, designer or structural engineer, he can design demanding engineering structures and traffic structures as well as load-bearing structures of buildings. As a foreman, assistant construction manager and, after training, also as a construction manager, he can ensure the construction of various engineering and building structures. It can also be used successfully in research institutes, educational institutions, testing laboratories and computer centers.
The graduate of the study program will also find employment in state administration bodies, self-government bodies, environmental offices and organizations performing the administration of engineering structures and transport structures. They can also do business on the basis of a trade license in the field of construction and design of engineering and simple buildings.

1) successful completion of a bachelor's degree
2) and successful completion of a program or department with a structure of completed subjects that guarantee the ability to continue in engineering studies.
