Anotácia projektu v slovenskom jazyku

Ambíciou projektu bude porozumieť dialógu medzi dizajnérskou a inžinierskou profesiou v celej jeho zložitosti. Uvažujeme o efektívnej kombinácie možnosti Kegy a aktuálnej doktorandskej  témy. Dialóg medzi dizajnom a inžinieringom je viacvrstvový, komplikovaný a veľmi závislý od charakteru výsledného produktu. Výsledky skúmania tohto dialógu budú prenesené do obohatenej štruktúry nových predmetov v bakalárskom a magisterskom štúdiu. Dizajnérska práca je zväčša chápaná ako komplexný návrh reálneho produktu. Dizjanér bude riešiť návrh nielen z výtvarného hľadiska ale bude uvažovať o integrácii ďaľších procesov, najmä inžinieringu. Naším cieľom je aby dizajnér bol schopný primárne iniciovať tému (narozdiel od doterajších schém), pri ktorej by rozumel celej štruktúre návrhu od skíc až po realizáciu. Inšpirácia je generovaná automobilovým priemyslom, kde dialóg dizajnéra a inžiniera je prepracovaný do najmenších detailov. Výskum bude zameraný na maximálne využitie moderných simulačných softvérov, čo prispeje k dematerializácii procesov (nízka investičná náročnosť). V tejto oblasti chceme nadviazať už na overené poznatky VR a mixovanej reality prítomné v ateliéri. 

Inžinieri a dizajnéri a ich vzájomná kooperácia dostáva úplne iné kontúry, ktoré sú zvládnuteľné aj na pôde VŠVU a to najmä nástrojom spolupráce a synergie. 

Vývoj prototypu je oblasť, ktorá sa deje oddeleniach VŠVU. Treba ale podotknúť, že realizačná báza je nedostatočne systematizovaná,  nemá na škole technické zázemie a nie sú pripravené kooperácie, ktoré by toto systematizovanie umožnili. Systematizácia je dôležitá s ohľadom na kvalitu vzdelávania. Pokiaľ sa projektu podarí diahnuť ciele, bude to mať pozitívny vplyv práve na existenciu takto chápaného prostredia. 

 

Anotácia projektu v anglickom jazyku

The ambition of the project will be to understand the dialogue between the design and engineering professions in all its complexity. We are considering an effective combination of Kega's capabilities and the current doctoral topic. The dialogue between design and engineering is multilayered, complicated, and highly dependent on the nature of the resulting product. The results of researching this dialogue will be transferred into an enriched structure of new subjects in bachelor's and master's studies. Design work is mostly understood as a comprehensive design of a real product. The designer will address the design not only from an artistic perspective but will consider the integration of other processes, particularly engineering. Our goal is for the designer to be able to primarily initiate the topic (unlike previous schemes), understanding the entire design structure from sketches to implementation. Inspiration is generated by the automotive industry, where the dialogue between the designer and engineer is refined down to the smallest details. Research will focus on maximizing the use of modern simulation software, which will contribute to the dematerialization of processes (low investment requirements). In this area, we want to build on proven knowledge of VR and mixed reality present in the studio.

Engineers and designers and their mutual cooperation take on completely different contours, manageable even within the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, especially through tools of collaboration and synergy.

Prototype development is an area that takes place in departments of the Academy. However, it should be noted that the implementation base is insufficiently systematized, lacks technical background at the school, and there are no prepared cooperations that would enable this systematization. Systematization is important with regard to the quality of education. If the project manages to achieve its goals, it will have a positive impact on the existence of such an understood environment.
